On Sunday, April 21, Argentinian cello player Martín Devoto will give the first concert of conDIT 2013. In this occasion, he will play pieces for cello solo as well as pieces for cello and electronic sounds and with real time electronics. The concert program includes classic pieces of the contemporary repertoire and pieces written specially for this great intrumentist.
Martín Devoto is part of different modern music ensembles such as “Süden”, “Música Impura” and the UNTref string quartet. He studied with Leo Viola, C. Baraviera & E. Valenzuela. He has worked directly with argentinian composers of various generations, premiering pieces by G. Gandini, C. Saitta, J. Sad, J. Horst, J. O. Zárate, D. Grela & E. Moguillansky among others. He has also played pieces of foreign composers. Some of these performances were recorded by Blue Art Label in the “De Bach al ruido” CD. He has also written articles for specialized magazines from UCA and UNLA. He currently teaches in UNTref and has given different seminars and workshops in the National Conservatory of Lima, UNR (Rosario), UNC (Cordoba), UNQ (Quilmes), CCEBA (Buenos Aires) and festivals. He is often called to participate of contemporary music productions as part of ensembles.
